I love books. They are my favorite hobby. A few years ago, I realized that I read a lot more if I keep a list. It’s a reading discipline. I’m counting on someone being just as nerdy as me visiting the site and enjoying reading a list of things I’ve read. I include graphic novels because it makes my list look more impressive—that’s an important goal, after all. I do not, however, include essays, articles, short stories, books I skimmed, or books I did not finish. Finally, I read diversely. I do believe Christians can glean truth from many sources (think Paul in Acts 17). I try to rate books on their merits and my subjective enjoyment of them, not on my level of agreement with them. If you find that I’ve rated a book well by an atheist, Buddhist, unorthodox Christian, or adherent to the church of the flying spaghetti monster, please do not take this as an endorsement of the worldview espoused within the book.
